When looking at my photographs for the first time folks often ask me what kind of camera I use. They are always surprised to learn that I use a 'simple' Sony CyberShot. I have a Ricoh 35mm film camera with a zoom lens that I purchased in the mid-eighties. (I think it still works.) I used it for taking slides of my artwork, regular pics and reference photos. The camera is heavy, the film another outlay of cash, and as an ecologically, environmentally-minded person, the use of chemicals for processing film and prints felt out of integrity. I'm not a big techie. It's not about the equipment for me. It's about the image and what I want to communicate.
